What methods of payment to you accept?
You can pay using your credit card, debit card or paypal account. We regret we cannot accept cash, cheques or postal orders.

How long will my plates take to arrive?
We aim to deliver all orders within 7 working days. If you are worried your order has not arrived after this time, please see our 'Track Order' page.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please let us know asap and we will arrange to send a replacement.

What if I have made a mistake?
If you have made a mistake with any of the details on your plates, we will usually supply a second set at a discounted price.

Can I collect my plates?
No, sorry. All orders are shipped from one of our specialist number plate makers based in either the Channel Islands or Northern Ireland.

Can I return my plates for a refund?
No, sorry. All plates are made to order and cannot be re-sold to anyone else. Therefore we cannot accept any returns.

I have heard Show Plates are illegal?
You may have seen millions of motorists driving cars with non-standard number plates fitted. You can only buy 'number plates' from high street shops, who have to see your identification before they make the plates. You are also then limited to a very small range of basic designs. When you order plates online, there is no way for the seller to ensure they are being fitted to the correct vehicle, or that the registration number is spaced correctly. Therefore, they must be sold for 'off road' use only. Smart Plates are careful to ensure only the UK legal style of letters are used on our plates, and all our orders are made from BS approved parts by experienced number plate makers.  We should make you aware there is a chance you may be asked to remove your show plates, face a fine or even see your car fail an MOT. Therefore, we suggest you retain your original plates, just in case.
